Chapter Four : Airplane Ambush

I had a weird sensation as I walked into the army airplane. Jent said he didn't know how to fly it. Themis said that he could. But, something was scratching in the back of my mind. The glowing sword had changed back into a pendent. The feeling got worse as the flight took off. "Anything wrong lil bro?" He said. I looked at him. The memory was scratching at the back of my head. I calmed down as we got over the water. Next thing I know, I'm asleep in the airplane chair. That was when the first missle came. "The radar has picked up something!" Themis yelled. He tried to turn the plane but it was to late. The missle crashed into the left wing with crashing force. I could see the flame from my window. My stomach lurched. "Its a abush!" Themis yelled as two planes flew next to us. He pulled down but they sent more missles coming. The pendent again changed into a glowing sword. I picked it up and jumped out the emergency window. I landed on one of the planes as I took out the sword. I struck the gleeming sword into the top of the plane. I jumped in and smashed the controls. I closed my eyes and water came out of the sword like magic. It turned to ice and I jumped on it. The ice flew threw the air and the plane flew down and fell through the air. The ice took me to the other plane. I took out the sword and moved the ice through the plane as the plane feel and crashed also. I jumped back into the plane with Jent and Themis. They managed take out the other wing and we fell to the ground. Right before we hit the ground the plane slowed down and we landed safely. We jumped out and we were in Tokyo, Japan. But, the memory scratched my head still. What was the memory? I will have to find out another time.

I caught up to Themis in no time. I did tricks with water, like I was one with it. Themis was watching silently. Are private detectives always so stiff? "Hey, losen up dectective. We are in the water and water is always flowing nicely. Just calm down and feel the current." I said. He looked at me, looking surprised anyone would suggest such a thing. It was obivious that he wasn't going to do what I suggested. I took a dip into the water and something appeared from the deps of the ocean. It was a shark! The bubbles popped up as I screamed. I jumped out of the water with eyes wide. "There is shark!" I pointed to its fin. It wasn't moving. Why isn't it moving? I went under water and it looked as if the water current is pushing the shark. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I jumped back up. "Its as if the shark is being stopped by the current." I said. Themis again didn't look surprised. "Look over there" Themis said pointing in in front of us. I turned my head. There it was North Carolina Army Base. We pulled ashore and looked around. It was deserted, no one was around. Where was everyone? Where is my brother? I took out the pendent my father gave to me. He remembered to time his father gave it to him. "This pendant will help you in the future. You will understand when the time comes." His father had said. He knew what it was for. I reached down and put water in the pendant. Suddenly, his pendant glew bright. It fell off my neck and hit the ground. The water I put in it was consuming the pendant. The pendant grew bigger and its shape changed in a bright light. Themis watched this, finally his eyes filled with excitement. The pendent infused with the water turned into sword. I picked up the sword. Thats when I heard the roar. A giant monster was standing behind me, teeth bare. "Its a chimera. A beast made up of many animals." Upon the body of the beast a lioness with a tail that terminated in a snake's head, the head of a goat arose on her back at the center of its spine. "I thought it was just a mythecal creature. But, now a times I can't be sure." Themis said

It jumped as I rolled under it. I stuck it with my sword through the chest of the chimera. Green liquid squirmed out of its body. I figured it must be its blood. I heard tapping on a door. We opened the door and there were ten people from the army there. I scanned the room for my brother. I found him in the back with his eyes looking at me. He was wearing his favorite gloves. My brother always loved the earth. He joined the army because "the earth told him to". Also, he joined because even when something bad and or sharp hit hm nothing happened. He was supposidly hard as rock. "Broth-" I started the say when I heard a familiar growling. I turned and i saw a band of chimeras. Where are these things coming from? I took out my sword and it gave me courage. My brother joined next to me. His fist was clenched. He punched the ground and rock covered his gloves. I can see his fists was as hard as the ground i'm standing on.

I felt stronger, mabye because my brother was next to me. My hands went firmly on the sword. Me and my brother fought strongly and heartly. Themis stood watching, not knowing how important to this story he was as I was. After all the chimera were deafeated, me and my brother panted hard. "Hows it going Jent?" I asked breathless. "These chimeras came and we ran. I had the power to stop them, but there was to much." Jent said. All the army people ran off away from us, as if we caused all of this. We ran off the place fast enough to get away from any chimeras.

"Brother, our parents are missing." Baku said. I looked at my brother and he frowned. "I know much to well. Before they dissapeared they called me. Mother was the one who called. She said that we might be gone for a while and when in doubt use the gloves. Then I heard crashing glass and thats when the chimeras came." Jent said. We jumped into the sea. "There is something else mom told me. She said, "Devil Swine". Does that mean anything to you guys?" Jent said. "Hello Jent, my name is Themis Prime. Im a private detective. I think I know where their base is. Tokyo, Japan is were they are. My parents found me and tried to contact me. They told me where the base was there." Themis said. We all looked at the sky. "Hello Mr. Prime." Jent said. "Its time to go to Tokyo."

It all happened fast.The bullet crashed through the window, with extreme speed. I was frozen with shock. I realized the "bullet" was a sleeping dart. It was reaching for my neck. "Get down!" The voice sounded distant, but shocked him. Baku moved and hit a glass of water as it hit the ground. The water spreded to his feet. The sleeping dart pinned him, but he felt nothing. Not even feeling sleepy. Themis was watching with no surprise. He made a small "hmph". "So, it is true." He muttred. He was filled with confusion. If the sleeping dart hit him why isn't he asleep! Thats when two men came into the room. "I'm not surprised, he isn't asleep." One of them said, who had black hair and bloodshot eyes. It was pretty ovious he hadn't slept in days. What did everyone know that he didn't? But, somehow he managed to stay calm. "Come on!" Themis said. He ran and elbowed one in the stomach. The sleeping dart had already came out of his neck. Baku picked the sleeping dart and threw it at the one with black hair. It cought him and he fell asleep. We left, with them on the floor. Themis looked around and had an idea. Themis pulled Baku to the water. They jumped in. Again the water welcomed him with warmth.They both floated on the water silently. "Why did i not fall asleep by the sleeping dart? Surely, you would know?" He said. "I have heard a theroy, but it proved true. Did you hear about your families' history?" "No" I replied. "By the way, isn't the water cold?" It wasn't cold to him. "It doesn't feel cold to me. And stop trying to change the subject." Baku replied with a glare. He sighed. "I don't think, I'm not the right person to tell you this. But, I have to tell you." Themis started. "A long time ago there was a beast named Evil Eye. He had a group under him called Devil Swine." His eyes seem to darken. "I took this case with all my mind because I used to be apart of that group. My parents thought Evil Eye was the right way. But, I did not. I ran away hoping to find the decesdents of that person who vanquished Evil Eye. His named wasToyama Yamamoto. He had the power to control the elements, water, fire, wind, earth, and even ice. His powers greatly surpassed everyone elses'. But, as usual age came and he died. His powers went to his decendants. I think your connected with water." "Everyone else thinks the water is cold, while you think its warm. And the sleeping dart didn't make you fall asleep because the glass of water fell" Themis said. Letting the water drift him along. He then remembered his brother. Jent. He joined the army when Baku was only little. "Let's go talk to my brother. He might know what has happened." Baku said as Themis started swimming to the coast of North Carolina army base.

Baku pulled up his black hoodie, feeling the warmth in his body. He closed his eyes to imagine stories. He loved to imagine things. All the wonder in your mind, your mind can take you anywhere you wish. And do anything. He jumped off the tree branch holding him up. Putting his hands in his pockets he walks home. How little he knows of how his life will change soon. The sand crunching beneath his feet. He walks to the mansion of the Yamamoto family in South Carolina near the beach. His grandfather moved here from Japan when his dad was three. He was good with computers so, he was instantly rich by making a new computer that sold millions. He married a american woman named Jen Johnson. Its akward that his family never talked about generations before grandfather. Baku walked into the giant place. His grandfather died and left his money to his father. It was akward. We always lived near water. His whole family loved nature. They loved water, fire, wind and earth. He particually loved water. He changed his mind and turned heel and went to the water. The water welcomed him like a good friend. His black hoodie fell down, revealing his white hair. The water was nice and warm. Whitch was unusual, most people who come here says the water is frezzing. His blue eyes were looking at the sky. He got up and walks to the mansion across the sand, rubbing his eyes. The door was open. Guess someone came when he was floating. He walked through the door. He heared a noise and walked towards it. Someone was there and it was not his dad. "Hello Baku. Im a private detective. Call me Themis Prime. Your parents has dissapeared. I've been assigned to find them." said the man. "Hello Mr...." His sentance was cut short. A gunshot was heard ouside.
